The band U2 was started in 1976 in Dublin, Ireland. When they first started they were not the musical genius's that you see now. Midway thru the 80's is when the band had become a international act. The Album "The Joshua Tree" was the album that turned them from "Artists to Superstars" according to Rolling Stone magazine. They have sold 145 million Records Worldwide. Some bands that influenced them would be: Ramones, Patti Smith, The Who, The Beatles, and the Clash. U2 themselves have influenced many bands such as : The Fray, Coldplay, The Killers, and Angels and Airwaves. The Members of U2 are Bono ( Vocalist/Guitars ), the Edge (vocalist, guitar, keyboard), Adam Clayton who plays the bass guitar, and Larry Mullen who plays the drums and percussion. U2 has always been known to rock the house with their concerts, get you U2 tickets before all the good ones are gone.
